Dr. Lawrence Kutner, died Thursday, April 2 for a self-inflicted injury. He was 33 years.
“Dr Kutner is a difficult job, a young doctor in a kind, unassuming, so gentle. He will be missed by us all, “said Dr. Lisa Cuddy, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital, where he worked on Dr. Kutner.
Dr. Kutner was born in Freemont, California. Tragedy marred his early life as he lost his parents, Niki and Karamchand Baidwan, who were shot during an armed robbery. After a couple of years in foster care, Julia and Richard Lawrence Kutner approved. He has shown great promise in high school, win a Westinghouse Science Award for an experience of the dark matter. His adoptive parents had mused that the freedom of thought, inventive sequence at an early age.
Kutner received a scholarship at the University of California at Berkeley and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in physics. He then attended the University of Tel-Aviv Medical School and completed an internship and residency in rehabilitation and sports medicine at the University of Colorado. “I wanted to be a doctor and see M.A.S.H. ‘As a child, “says his friend and colleague, Dr. Chris Taub. “I think the model itself a little after Hawkeye Pierce.”
Kutner’s girlfriend Nicole Brewster recalled that Lawrence, who was of Indian descent and always felt like an outsider. But she said it was not worth it – instead, he believes the experience adds the vision and perspective. This is called atypical ways to take their career and personal life. One example is when he decided to break the world record for distance monitoring. After an exhausting 43 hours, managed to crawl 20 miles, and earn a place in the Guinness Book in 2002.
During his free time, Lawrence has played water polo and competitive swimming. Enjoyed science fiction and a frequent participant in the Clarion Science Fiction Workshop.
Dr. Kutner is survived by his adoptive parents. A Hindu festival of his private life, took place yesterday.
