Charles Barkley SNL with Alicia Keys

It’s hard to figure out what Charles Barkley was doing on SNLSaturday Night Live. He had hosted before–like a million years ago, when NBA players still wore small-shorts–and he was certainly game, but not especially amusing, which you’d reckon would be part of the job description (though maybe not with watching January Jones on the program some weeks ago). Plus the show ongoing a half-hour late on the east coast because of the football playoffs. At least Alicia Keys was on SNL as the musical guest–and an unexpected laugh getter.

Snowing in Florida

Snowing in florida rarely occurs in the U.S. state of Florida, as freezing temperatures in the state are generally caused by the cold and dry winds of anticyclones. Frost is more common than snow, requiring temperatures of 45°F (7°C) or less at 2 metres (7 ft) above the ground, a cloudless sky, and a relative humidity of 65% or more. Generally, for snow to occur, the polar jet stream must go southward through Texas and into the Gulf of Mexico, with a stalled cold front across the southern part of the state curving northeastward to bring together freezing air into the frontal clouds.

Army all American Football Game 2010

The U.S. Army All American Football will celebrate its 10th Anniversary and feature tomorrow’s college and NFL stars in a classic East versus West match-up at San Antonio’s Alamodome. Through the All-American Bowl, the U.S. Army is helping to shape these future leaders by providing a national forum for these student-athletes to showcase their extraordinary talents.
